Hector Rodriguez, MS, ACSM-CEP, is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Memory and Aging Center, where he supports research initiatives within the South Texas Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Physical Rehabilitation Services, followed by a Master of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is also a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine.

Prior to his work in clinical research, Hector gained experience working in hospitals and clinics emphasizing exercise physiology and rehabilitation, building a strong foundation in patient-centered care, cardiovascular health, and functional assessment. His combined background in healthcare administration, clinical exercise physiology, and neuroscience research allows him to contribute a multidisciplinary perspective to memory and aging research initiatives.

In his role, Hector oversees participant coordination, clinical and demographic data collection, regulatory documentation, and interdisciplinary communication across research teams and clinicians. His work supports studies in cognitive aging and dementia, including participant evaluations, consensus meetings, and research workflow coordination. He is particularly interested in the integration of personalized clinical care, preventive health strategies such as exercise and diet, and research methodologies to improve understanding of cognitive decline and healthy aging.
