Cristian A. Maestre is an architect and researcher at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Structural Architecture in Panama City, Panama, where he developed his career in commercial and residential project design. Currently, his research focuses on neuroscience applied to architecture, investigating how spatial configurations, architectural elements, and environmental factors influence cognitive health and human well-being. Furthermore, Cristian is deeply involved in initiatives such as VIVA-POINTER and Brain Awareness Week (BAW) to maximize public health outcomes and educational deliverables. He is also the author of the Neuroscience and Architectural Design Series, which includes specialized, evidence-based handbooks aimed at creating cognitive-friendly environments.
